Chats & SupportChats & Support

At Chats & Support, youll find a caring community with people facing many of the same problems that you do day in and day out. Having someone with whom to share your thoughts and feelings is an important aspect of any weight control program. In fact, a Brown University study found that people who use the Internet for online dieting support lose more weight - three times more - than people who only use the Internet for finding weight loss information.

Hi all…I'm so excited I weighed in and measured this morning for the first time since I started the program a month ago and lost 8 lbs. an inch from my chest, 1 1/2 from both my waist and hips. This really helps and I just feel overall healthier with the way I'm eating and exercising...I've done other diets where I was told what to eat when and while that lasted for a little while. I'd always end up pigging out on those things I couldn't have...so this really works and I plan to stick with it and just change my overall habits!

It was 3 years ago yesterday (156 weeks) that I made THE DECISION to change my life. And it indeed has changed.  I remember with nostalgia the thousands of times that I looked at my life and said, "If I had only", but never did. Then several years would slip by and I would think, "I'd be done by now, If I'd have only....".  I only write this to re-confirm that CHANGE is about CHOICE. And I am heartened by the CHOICES I see all of you making. To quote whomever..."The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step, and for me that step was making a CHOICE.

There were forward steps, and there were backward steps, but I tell you this, in time success will come if you have truly made a CHOICE!  Thank you all my CaloriesCount.com family for helping me learn and affirming my choice. You have not failed me and I am here for you too.

Okay, I went to the cardiologist this morning and my cholesterol was . . . 168!!! This is down from 220 in December. Also, my bad cholesterol went down to 91 from 121 over the same time period. Learn from this: diet and exercise DO WORK! (and I am speaking to myself as well as to you).

After my success story was put on the website, I got a call from an AP reporter doing a story about using the internet for dieting. I was interviewed and that interview was picked up by major publications everywhere...even in Japan and Australia!  So...this past January, I got a call from a representative of "Woman's World" magazine who was interested in my story. She did an interview at the time but wasn't sure if she could use it or not. She told me she would let me know. I got a call this morning advising me that she pitched a story to the editor of the magazine and it has been approved for publication. The story will be about counting calories to lose weight. I will be doing a phone interview tomorrow and they are setting up a photo shoot. I will be flying either to New York or Los Angelos to do a "shoot" for the cover of the magazine!  I am really excited and just wanted to share it with all of you. Amazing things can happen when you make a commitment and stick with it!  I certainly hope they will include the identity of this website as I will be mentioning it often! Without the website, there wouldn't be a story.

Hello Everyone,

I'm just back from New York (for the today show)and am amazed by what I see happening on the website! So many new people. I am so glad that all of you have decided to take this step to o something positive for yourselves.

I just wanted you all to know that I can attest to the fact that if you stick with it and support each other, this does work.

And... I am really just a regular person like all of you, who started out just like all of you. I was so tired of dieting and so tired of losing and gaining the same 30-40 pounds for 30 years. And I was really tired of not feeling good about myself.

Caloriescount.com helped me to gain control and gave me the tools I needed to succeed. And the support here is awesome. Just remember that you are not dieting, you are changing you life. It's not a quick fix, but something you can maintain for life. It took me about a year to loose 32 pounds, but now I feel absolutely awesome.

You are doing something healthy for you and your families. You will set an example for your children, husbands and other family members. You will live longer, more productive lives.

WOW!
